The Beginning of a Great Year

Back to SchoolIt's been a wonderful and busy start to our school year! We've welcomed new families to Franklin and have welcomed back our returning families! Students have enjoyed time getting to know one another through team building activities and have made new friends in new classrooms! Teachers have created classroom expectations for their students and have encouraged students to dive right into their classroom libraries!

This year, all students will be participating in some new learning and team building through Zones of Regulation lessons and through CREW. Students will be learning how to recognize their energy and feelings by using different colors that represent different Zones. Students are also getting to know different staff members and students through our CREW groups. Our CREWs are made up of one Franklin staff member and about 12 students ranging from grades K4-5th grade. Students are currently learning about Team Work through these groups!

Students learned about our building and playground expectations through our Building Bootcamp and Playground Rodeo! Students did a great job learning and explaining expectations and had some fun along the way too!

We had our first family event this month! We had a Back to School Picnic! Families went on a scavenger hunt to see different parts of our school and enjoyed a hot dog dinner with friends and family!

Our students and staff have done a great job building community and learning about our high expectations...now we are ready to learn!
