Guest ReadersThere were so many fun activities during "Read Across America Week"! Franklin was a busy place filled with a spirit week, Guest Readers, and our Scholastic Book Fair!

Franklin Elementary had guest readers to help us celebrate National Read Across America Day! Some of our readers included: Mayor Devine, Ally Faith from 103.7 Kiss FM, Officer Nelson, Superintendent Marty Lexmond, News Anchors from TMJ4 and Fox 6...and several more! The readers were great and brought a lot of fun to our day! Thanks readers!

Franklin also had a Scholastic Book Fair filled with several contests! There was a "Coin Off" between cats and dogs...Dogs won the contest while raising over $7.00 for our PTG!

Other contests included: Guess Whose Pet, Guess How Many Goldfish, and Guess HowMany Dog Bones. Our winners were: Westly Montalvo for Guess Whose Pet, Gabriella Schaefer won “Guess How Many Dog Bones” There were 93 dog bones and Gabriella guessed 85! And finally, The winner for “Guess How Many Goldfish”was Allison Malkowski-Edwards. There were 703 goldfish and Allison guessed 670! 
To wrap up our week our Franklin PTG donated books to all of our classrooms! Some classrooms enjoyed their new books in forts!

It was a great week celebrating reading and Dr. Seuss!
